That's me

I am born as one of many in a small village on the island of Mallorca, Spain. My mum has given birth to so many brothers and sisters, that after a few weeks she couldn t care for all of us anymore. She taught me the essential things to survive and how to behave in public. Then she told me I have to leave. I think she did this, cause I was very healthy and proper developed and one of the strongest one of all of my siblings. I didn t walk far. There was a car mechanical service company, so they had many cars not moving where I could hide myself. One of the man working there he gave me a bit of food every midday. That was very grateful. Then one day there was this woman who I call today my mum. Her car was broken and when she walked out of her car I was so sure this is the my new mum. Her feet were and are still perfect and she smiled. In opposite to my natural shy behaviour I took all the courage I have, walked out from underneath the car, walked towards her while looking all the time with my eyes focused on her face and meouwed. It worked out-) After around 30 minutes I was on her arm and we walked towards my new home. Of course my bashful cause me two days of sleeping behind the fridge before I walked into my mums bed.

I was so happy being in a save home. I slept most of the day. The rest we played. Starting with little ball and hair ties on strings. Then came the day my mum wanted me to go on the terrace. No way! She tried so hard and at the end it was a little yellow bird directly singing on the terrace that brought me to go outside. It wasn't that bad with all these animals, so I went daily outside. We got rid of the fleas. I took two showers. i really don't like showers, but it felt better without. The only thing that was a bit annoying: It seemed that my body didn't want to grown. Every week we measured and no change. My eye colour was supposed to change. Again not much happened.

I had to present myself to the vet. It wasn't bad. He made tests and gave me vaccinations. I got a chip, so everybody knows where I belong to. The most important for me was my passport. The picture selection was a bit tricky-). We have another terrace and that was a big step for me to walk there. My first try was about five minutes and I rushed down. Next thing was the car ride. How horrible I thought. So my mum surprised me by stopping in nature. We started to hike. After 3-4 times I felt ok travelling by car.

Now I got why we went so often by car. It was the preparation for a very long trip. I had to show my passport so often. We went by ferry and then hours in the car. At the south of France I didn't fancy anymore and have hidden myself on a picnic area. I slept for three hours and then we continued. We travelled all the way up to Germany. There was no sea, but a river and in the parcs where lots of animals I have never seen before. Plus I had a roof terrace where people went on and off and of course they gave me lots of treats and played with me. There I was happy, too.

Back on Mallorca the weather was still fine to go on the beach, do lots of hiking and suddenly my body is growing. I manage to jump onto places I couldn't do before. I tried to socialise, but other cats didn't like me that much. Then I went on work with my mum. Some places were in nature, so I liked going with her. Some weren't. At least people liked me.

What a party!! I didn't know how great birthdays are. I was allowed to do so many things, cause I was nearly a teenager. Said and made-) I started by playing very wild with my birthday present, a new feather, on the table. That much the tablecloth went down. Then a took a little nap, before I was going through the roof terrace on to my neighbours roof. There I discovered the white cat, Nele, who is normally not nice to me. But now I was above her. Later I took another nap on the roof terrace. I was really fit then which was needed. I went to the people knowing me in the village to pick up all my birthday treats.

I didn't know how much fiestas are there in December. Christmas, New Year. We celebrated. I changed a bit my playing habbits, cause I don't need that much sleep anymore. 6 am is a very good time to start playing. I am hunting insects, running around, having lots of zoomes and enjoy my life.

Yes, 1st of February and I felt in heat for the very first time. That drove us both mad. Especially I had an admirer and I liked him, too. We managed to get the heat out of the way, so that it never comes back. I don't like the vet anymore!!

I stayed somewhere else while my mum was travelling alone. Later on I showed her how angry I was, but the place was nice with very nice people and in the country side in a farm house.

We started to do some hiking again, but to be honest I prefer to stay home. I discovered the garden adjacent to the backyard. What a nice place to discover. I found a friend and the white cat next door, Nele, is getting on with me.
